THE Northern Quarter continues to thrive as a hot spot for residents of Leeds to live in, with the area being in an idyllic location.

Excellent transport links

The transport links in the area are excellent with plenty of modes of transport nearby, including Leeds bus station, just a 10 minute walk away, and ample bus stops surrounding the area. Leeds railway station is also just a stone’s throw away, making it a great location for any commuter working anywhere in the surrounding area. Not only is the area good for public transport, the ring road is only a short distance away making it easy to get out and around Leeds and its suburbs.

Plenty of shopping on offer

The shopping district of Leeds continues to grow with many spending their days around the abundance of shopping centres that the city has to offer. For those who love to indulge in a luxury lifestyle then look no further as Victoria Quarter with plenty of shops to spend the day browsing, is just down the road. If you prefer your everyday high street stores, there are plenty of other shops that are still only a 10 minute walk away from the Northern Quarter, meaning there are plenty of options for all, and the best part is, you don’t need to go far to drop your bags off.

Food and drink for all

Shopping isn’t the only activity that is available on the doorstep of the Northern Quarter. There are plenty of restaurants and bars for all occasions and preferences. With so many to choose from, no one could ever be bored. Local bars and restaurants on your doorstep include Belgrave Music Hall, Brew Dog and The Reliance, there’s somewhere for everyone.

Belgrave Music Hall is not only just a bar, it’s a venue open both day and night. The hall has a vintage feel with the furniture and has plenty of craft beers, real ales and spirits on offer. With Patty Smith’s burger and Dough Boys’ pizza both having residence at the venue, there is plenty of food to choose from. Not only does the hall sell great food and drinks it also has a great gig venue for hosting top local and international bands. Finally the venue has a great roof top terrace which attracts many visitors, and don’t worry if the sun isn’t shining, there’s covers and heater to keep you toasty.

If draft and canned beers are for you, then Brew Dog is the perfect spot for you, with shuffle board also on offer, it’s the perfect place to spend the evening.

The Reliance is great for those who love the atmosphere of a pub, with the informal environment it makes a great spot to go for a pint or a coffee, and if food is what you’re after it has modern British dishes and homemade charcuterie, hitting the spot for all.

Entertainment round the corner

There is also plenty of entertainment to enjoy in the area if everyone manages to tick off every single bar and restaurant that’s close by! The First Direct arena is just down the road which hosts a whole range of acts including, singers, dancers and comedians, to name a few. It’s the perfect night out and the best part is you don’t have to travel far. With the arena attracting some of the biggest stars, there is someone for everyone’s preference. The arena has a variety of different events coming up including some big names in the music industry such as James Blunt, The Wanted & Stereophonics. If music isn’t quite for you then don’t worry there’s comedian John Bishop taking to the stage in March, or if you prefer sports, Leeds Rhinos Netball take on the Wasps, take your pick.
